Gurugram’s Much Awaited project “Sohna Highway” along with 2 other Unveiled today

Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari announced that three road project including Sohna-Gurugram national highway worth Rs 3500 crore is ready to function. The honor of inauguration ceremony was done by Road and Transport minister, Nitin Gadkari. Officials have announced that one of the three projects that was inaugurated is the six-lane Sohna-Gurugram national highway, which is 22 km long and has been constructed with Rs 2,009 crore. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium on Tuesday evening. This project was in making from past three years and its construction was divided into two packages. The package 2 of the project extends from Badshapur to Sohna and package 1 of the project connects Sohna to Rajiv Chowk. Package 2 was already opened for the commuters from April 1 whereas package 1 was opened for trial last Monday. The problem of traffic, congestion, lack of signage, confusing access points for motorists etc. have been solved by streamlining new entries and exits at the midpoints.

Apart from this project, a four-lane, 30 km long road on NH-11 from Rewari to Ateli Mandi, is being constructed for Rs 1,193 crore which will also be inaugurated. A separate ceremony will be held in which the chief minister “Manohar Lal Khattar” will launch an online facility for making and renewing Arm licenses at the Recruit Training Centre (RTC), Bhondsi. During his visit, he will also inspect the shooting range built there. With the introduction of this online facility, people will not have to make rounds of government offices to get their arms licenses renewed and will be able to get it sitting at home.
